These terms cover your use of the ViewPin application and this website. By installing or using ViewPin you agree to them. If you do not, do not install it.
1. What you are buying
ViewPin Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel. The price is $9.99 plus any applicable tax, which Dodo Payments calculates and collects as merchant of record.
Your purchase includes all future updates to ViewPin 1.x. A future major version may be a separate purchase; if so, that will be stated plainly before you are asked to pay anything.
2. Your licence
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use ViewPin:
- on the number of Macs stated at purchase, which you may activate and deactivate as your hardware changes;
- for personal or commercial work alike — there is no separate business licence;
- for as long as the licence remains valid.
You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute ViewPin or your licence key, nor share a key beyond the activation limit, nor attempt to circumvent licensing.
3. The free tier
ViewPin is free to use with one pin at a time, permanently, with no account and no expiry. New installations include a 7-day Pro trial; when it ends, the app returns to the free tier rather than ceasing to work. We may change what the free tier includes for future versions, but not retroactively for a version you have already installed.
4. Acceptable use
ViewPin shows you part of your own screen. You are responsible for what you choose to display and for any obligation you are under regarding it — confidentiality, licensing, or otherwise. Do not use ViewPin to view content you have no right to view, or in any way that breaks the law where you are.
5. Screen recording permission
ViewPin requires macOS Screen Recording permission to function. Granting it is your choice and can be revoked at any time in System Settings. What ViewPin does with that access is described in the Privacy Policy, and it is deliberately narrow.
6. Availability
ViewPin runs entirely on your Mac and does not depend on a server to work. Licence activation requires a network connection, and your licence stays valid offline for 30 days between checks. If our licensing provider is unavailable, existing installations keep working.
7. Warranty
ViewPin is provided “as is”. We have tested it carefully and use it ourselves, but we cannot promise it is free of defects or suitable for every purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited by agreement.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from ViewPin is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
9. Ending the agreement
You may stop using ViewPin at any time by deleting it. We may terminate a licence that was obtained fraudulently or is being used in breach of these terms; where we do, we will refund it unless the breach was deliberate.
10. Changes
We may update these terms for future releases. Changes are not retroactive: the terms you agreed to when you purchased continue to govern that purchase.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction — without affecting any consumer protection you are entitled to where you live.
